Hey business owner,
I was on a call this week with one of you who has lost, by your own count, at least $100K in pipeline to a few bad reviews.
2 reviews, sitting next to dozens of good ones.
He wanted to know how to get the reviews taken down.
Here is what I told him instead.
Audit your last 20 posts for proof
The review site is the wrong place to fight. Trustpilot is a LOSING BATTLE. The best thing you can do is have a ~natural~ looking pagae where you have somewhere between 4.5 and 4.9.
(5.0 is just as bad, looks fake)
So the lever is proof density. How many of your posts show a result, a screenshot, a process, or a client win, versus how many are opinions with nothing behind them.
Do this:
Pull your last 20 posts and tag each one that has social-proof. If fewer than 5 are proof, write 1 proof post today using a real number from your clients or customers.
Pin your single strongest proof post to your profile before the end of the day.
Screenshot every unsolicited compliment in your DMs from the last 30 days and turn the best one into a post within 48 hours.
Our clients book roughly 1 call for every 50 followers they gain. If you want a feed that earns that kind of trust before the call ever happens, see if you qualify to work with us (link).
Buyers remember the 2, never the 48
Review sites, especially Trustpilot, are a losing battle.. a fools errand. the best you can do here is have a decent rating and make sure that it doesn't get your leads from no showing your calls.
The last thing it's going to do is increase your close rate or have people more convinced to work with you.
Your feed, however, is a page you control completely, and your prospect reads it for 30 days. That's where we come in.
Every single client, customer, or student win that comes in needs to become content.
In a perfect world, you are posting a piece of social proof every single day.
• screenshots of analytics or dashboards
• clients complimenting your team
• 10/10 NPS scores
You cannot control what a stranger types into a review site. You can control every single thing a prospect sees in the 30 days before they get there.
1 booked call per 50 followers is the math our clients run on, and it starts with content that proves instead of opines. If you want that running on your brand, go here (link).
Or just reply to this email. I reply to everyone.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
Marcos
