Welcome to The Birdhouse newsletter. It is approximately a 6 minute read.
In today's newsletter, we're going over:
Why hype-selling works right up until it stops working
The math behind why doing the thing beats better marketing
A 24 hour way to prove your credibility instead of claiming it
What we actually tell prospects when they ask why we're different

(What) Before you post another tip, framework, or hot take, post a receipt. A real screenshot, a number, or a result from a customer.
(Why) In low-trust niches, proof of practice is the one differentiator competitors can't fake with better copywriting.
(How) Do these things:
Pull one specific metric from the last 30 days of your own work, a follower count, a reply rate, a close rate, anything with a number attached.
Write a 150 to 200 word post that shows the number and explains exactly how you got it, no vague framing.
Post it today in the slot where you'd normally post advice.
For the next 48 hours, reply to every comment that questions the number with another specific detail instead of a link.

Every hyped niche pays a trust tax
Trading, marketing, fitness, SaaS growth. Any industry where the promise-to-proof ratio is inflated ends up with buyers who assume you're lying until you show otherwise. That assumption is a tax. It shows up as a longer sales cycle, a lower close rate, and a discount you didn't want to give.
Here's illustrative example math.
Say you close leads at 8%. If publishing real proof moves that to 14%, that's a 75% lift in close rate without touching your offer, your price, or your funnel.
The lever was trust. This is what we say week in week out with new Personal Brands.
What doing the thing actually looks like
We got direct feedback from a prospect on a call recently that stuck with us: most people in this space sell courses on how to do the thing, but they don't actually do the thing themselves.
This is the foundation for how we decided to launch their personal brand. Built on trust and proof in an industry that operates on bold claims and flexing.
The payoff
In a low-trust niche, your content strategy isn't really a content strategy. It's a evidence strategy. The one who wins has the longest paper trail of actually doing the thing they say they do.
That's the differentiator nobody can copy overnight.
