I get asked all the time:
āWhat would you change about our DM strategy?ā
My answer is always 1 of 3 things:
More Direct, More Candid, More Honest
More Social-Proof
More Volume
First, I see clients and setters beat around the bush too much.
The market has changed, you need to have a conversation like youāre talking to a girl/guy at the bar and set your intentions.
Get consent before you make the ask and move along if thereās no interest.
Second, I see too many conversations with a single mention of social-proof.
Prospects donāt want to waste their time. Show them what youāve accomplished and that they can be the next case study.
Third, I canāt tell you how many times the solution is literally just send more DMs.
Some people think itās a cop out but when I tell my clientsā setters how many DMs they should be sending, their eyes light up.
DMs are a $$$ generating task - it needs to be maximized.
Iāve had clients jump from $20,000/month to $60,000/month with this simple fix.
