I speak to a lot of you who fundamentally misunderstand how organic content, in particular a personal brand, works when it comes to converting sales.
You have a weekly podcast, newsletter, Youtube and a few months of consistent uploads behind you.
Then you want to know which one of them is converting you the most $$$ so you can cut the others.
But the reality is you’re asking the wrong question.
The average customer journey looks something like this
See a post on X → Click to YouTube → Watch 4 YouTube videos → Follow on IG → See a Facebook Ad → Watch a few Reels → Read 4 Threads → Read a carousel → See an Ad → Book A Call
Or something like this:
Watch a YouTube video → Grab a Lead Magnet → Read some emails → Follow on X → Follow on LinkedIn → Read a LinkedIn Post → Click back to YouTube → Watch a few shorts → Watch a Case Study → Read an X article → DM You
I can do this all day…
The point is, while there are solutions to track some of this journey…
It’s nearly impossible to get it on the dot.
And the best Personal brands in the game understand FREQUENCY and the power of being EVERYWHERE.
Your audience shouldn’t be able to escape from your content, ads, emails, etc.
This is how you reach #1 in your space.
So yes… you can track 1st touch, last touch, maybe a few click.
This should inform your strategy and how you CTA on each.
But moral of the story, don’t get hung up on tracking everything.
Focus on being EVERYWHERE.
We publish 300+ posts a month for founders and executives across 5 platforms. If you want the right people to already know how you think before you ever talk, see if you qualify to work with us.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
