Hey founder,
I got on a call this week with one of you whose main lead source has been X for years.
His words, close to verbatim: I used to post a thread and get 15 or 20 leads that were pretty high quality. Now if I get 2 off a million views, that's a good day.
His conclusion was that he had lost his edge. Hooks got worse, voice went stale, something broke.
That's the wrong diagnosis, and it's the one that gets founders grinding harder on a channel that already matured past them. So here is the fix.
Put your 3 best X hooks on a second platform this week
A hook that worked once has already proven the idea has legs. Running it on a second feed tells you in 7 days whether your lead problem is the platform or the material.
Every organic channel runs the same arc. The format is novel, the audience is starved for it, and a decent post overperforms. Then everyone learns the format, supply goes up, and the same view count converts at a fraction of the old rate.
Do this:
Pull your top 3 X posts from the last 90 days by likes plus replies, straight from your analytics tab.
Rewrite 1 of them for LinkedIn or Facebook today: longer paragraph breaks, no hashtags, same hook. Post it before 5pm.
Turn the second into a 5-slide Instagram carousel this week and hold the third for Monday, then compare profile visits and DM replies per platform after 7 days.
If you want your personal brand producing booked calls from 3 feeds instead of 1, answer a few questions here (link).
The same thread, 2 leads instead of 20
Say a thread used to convert views to leads at 0.03%. That's 15 leads off 50,000 views, which lines up with what this founder used to see.
Now the format is saturated. The same thread, same quality, converts at 0.002%. A million views produces 20 leads on paper, and after you filter out the curious and the unqualified you are looking at 2 real conversations.
The market caught up to the format, and the platform's reach math moved with it.
A lot of people will tell you the answer is more volume on X, 5 threads a week instead of 2. I disagree. Volume on a saturated format buys you more of the same 0.002%.
The fix is 2-fold:
• bringing fresh, new ideas and formats to a matured platform
• taking the old formats that worked and putting them in front of a second audience that has never seen them
If you want more booked calls off more than just one platform that is evolving past you, see if you qualify to work with us (link).
Or just reply to this email. I reply to everyone.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
Marcos
